Re: The Superior and Seattle Railroad Build

I see you had the wrong impression of what it means to be retired from the work place. The work place is where we had to go and that kept us busy. Now, because you are married, the wife decides that you really don't have anything important to do and they start dreaming up all sorts of things. They ...

Re: Stone Roundhouse Build for the S&S Railroad

Thanks for all the advise on the lawn project. We all must keep in mind that the treasure of the S&S "the boss" wants a lawn and modeling time without funds would bring the whole railroad to a grinding stop. My hope is to make up for the lost modeling time later in the summer.

Re: The Superior and Seattle Railroad Build

Trains ran on the S&S today. Not far but we have three power blocks working! :ymparty: Wonderful! Now use some spray tacky glue, stick some Playboy centerfolds on the bottom of the layout, and roll your butt back under there. Just a little incentive to stay under there!!! :ymdevil: :ymdevil: :y...

Re: The Superior and Seattle Railroad Build

There is nothing better to be able to re-spark the interest in the hard work, than running trains on something you just completed. That is good news. I am at a strange point in my work also. My layout is a basic "U" shape and I can't move the bottom module into place until I get a lot mor...

Re: Stone Roundhouse Build for the S&S Railroad

Sure can tell it's yard work season - progress has slowed on this project. Only getting a few minutes a day right now but will get back at this as soon as my new lawn is in. New lawn just means that the mowing schedule expands and eats up more modeling time!!! Three steps forward and four back! :ym...

Re: The Superior and Seattle Railroad Build

I don't care much about what the label says, but I sure like the bright colors that you are using to help decorate the underside of the layout. I considered painting the underside of my layout to make it a little more pleasant to be under there on my back. Also I had considered painting mine white ...
