Re: Randy's Skid Row, part one

The "seal or not to seal" debate is as frequent as the notorious nail holes debate. Randy's website has a great tutorial on building plaster kits and he includes a very lucid discussion of the sealing issue (I believe he even posted this tutorial last year here on the forum). I built a to...

What would be a good program to do signs?

I used windows 2000 for years because the word program had some easy to use options for creating signs. Different font styles, you could outline the letters in a different color, it was easy to place the text in an outlined colored text box etc. It was probably pretty primitive by today's standards ...

Re: What is a craftsman kit?

The reason I do the type of kit that I do is because no one can go to the hobby shop, buy a bag of tghe hydrocal, bring it home, mix it up, and then have it come out looking like this in a couple of hours. : ) I mean, if you want to cast up a block of hydrocal, put on a jewlers loop & start carv...

The new Downtown Deco kits are now shipping...

The first ones left the shop today. They have all of the great detail that hydrocal kits can offer plus super simple construction. Wouldn't one or two of these look great tucked in next to the laser cut wood structures on your layout? : ) http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj226/downtowndeco/skidrow...
