A new On3 modular layout is being built by four modellers in Spokane Washington for display at the National Narrow Gauge Convention in Bellevue, Washington.

The modellers, Stan Oxendahl, Jim Smith, Tom Jennings and Jess Dozier recently posted a video of the layout.

They also have an active website where they are showing progress on the as yet incomplete layout

The convention is being held on September 12-15. Over 50 clinic are planned and over thirty layouts will be open including Paul Scoles Pelican Bay Railway and Navigation Company and Ken Larson's West Side Lumber (Great Model Railroads 2012).

I'll add this one to my to-do list for when I'm at the convention.

Me too... I knew Tom Jennings years ago when he was PNR 5th Division Superintendent, while I was 4th Div Supt. We used to get together at yearly BOD meetings. Good guy! This layout that he and the others are building looks really fantastic! Can't wait to see it!

Jaime, looking forward to seeing you again. You probably don't remember me, but we met up at the NNGC in Portland, Oregon a couple of years ago (2008?) - In fact, I came across a photo the other day of you and Dave Kreitler really bending each other's ears in the hotel lobby...

Al,

You'll have to remind me about Portland when we get to Seattle. I had a great time in Portland in 2008.

This time around I'm making a log of folks I meet at these events.

This looks great - looking forward to seeing it at the convention. Looks like I need to buy some more memory cards for the camera before I head out there.

The Hangman Creek folks have just posted three new videos showing their progress on the layout. These new video show more of the structures than the video I posted earlier. This is still a work in progress. I can't wait to see it at the Narrow Gauge Convention.

It's hard to think of this as a portable layout.
