Where is the Tuesday 4.10.12 thread?

Postby JimmyD » Tue Apr 10, 2012 5:46 am

What's the matter? It's almost 7am.

First, yes, there will be a contest, errr... "Challenge!." I've got that on my list of things to do. I haven't forgotten. I'm behind on orders, I have two shows coming up (Timonium & Ottawa... as in Canada :-o ) - I'm in the middle of a DVD, and I have new kits coming out. Did I mention this kit making company thing is just a hobby to keep me busy?

Yesterday we rolled out Fos Scale Models new website. I say "we" because I helped Doug with it. It's a project that took over two month's to get finished. Yesterday he got a few orders for kits without any hiccups... except for I think one customer who may have been trying to sign in with his/her old website password? This is a totally new site and will require that you register again, but it only takes about 30 seconds. Everyone seems to be buying $50 worth of kits to be eligible for the free "Slim Sartore'"s kit, Surprisingly, nobody is asking for different signs to name it "Fat Jimmy's"

Hey Bill... Maybe this kit should have a light package?

EDIT: There were 2 daily threads earlier today. Now there is only one. They were merged. This was y original reply to Jimmy asking where the daily thread was for today. I guess it made more sense then than it does now.

Morning all,

Well, that explains why I couldn't get to Doug's site last night. Jimmy was working on it. =)) I'll be sure to check it out today.

I spent a little time applying some shingles to a roof last night. I also played around a bit with a bunch of photo's I took during the build. Deleted a couple that were really bad and cropped and adjusted most of the rest. I'm slow but I'm happy with how things are turning out on this one so far.

Don't forget....you have until next Monday to get all your tax stuff to Ralph. Just cram it in an old shoe box and drop it off. :ymdevil: I have a friend in the business who does mine for me. He usually sends me a short e-mail early in February that reads something to the effect of "Where u tax %@&%?". Mine have been done and filed. :D

Have a great one!

Good morning all!

Had to finish up mowing my grandmother's yard yesterday after work. Attempted to do some work on OH Wrights but the foundation was irritating me and I was too tired to work it out. Maybe today...

I'm putting together an illustrated guide to building a module. I'm only showing the construction part of the project. The trains, structures and scenery are up to you.

We wrapped up the last 15 minutes of the podcast yesterday. It was anticlimactic. Jimmy and Doug had nothing to add so they brought in Hal who can talk a blue streak. He filled the time by explaining about all the great old train stuff that's cluttering up his house, his garage, his Mother's house across the street, and her garage. It was an interesting afternoon. He even had a structure I built in the 1970's and forgot about.

I'm off to Nantucket. They were talking about gale warnings which turns the ferry into the vomit comet but now it looks flat calm. We'll see what the afternoon brings.

Over...
