Nah, no real regrets. The guys I know who made it, deserved it, They were hard working, dedicated & were in the right place at the right time when things started to happen.

Things I maybe would do over if I could? Well, I left Seattle in 1995, right before the Seattle explosion happened & everyone & their mother got signed. The upside was I went to Hollywood where I played w/Duff from Guns N Roses right before they got a deal. I got Duff a job at the office supply place I worked & still remember him telling me, "Hey, this band I'm jamming with wrote a song yesterday called "Welcome to the Jungle", I think it sounds pretty good." The funny thing is I wanted to kick him out of my band because he was always late....shows how little I know.... : ) Years later when one of the GnR bios came out I was surprised to see that a poster for one of their early gigs that I had drawn w/a sharpie marker was used as the centerfold for the book. That was pretty cool.

Jeff from PJ went to the U of M in the early 80's & he used to come see my band before he even owned a bass. I moved to Seattle first & he moved over & slept on my floor for 2 months until I moved out. Like I said though, these guys both worked very hard & had a lot more dedication than I did so I'm truely happy for them.

"Regrets, I've had a few...but then again too few to mention....: )

The reason I ask is a buddy of mine was in the music scene in the 60's in the Haight and hung with Grace and company but never made it more than backup for a few groups but he talked of missed opportunities, we lost touch after he no longer worked for the company I worked for as for him, the job was a filler till he could get back to band work.

Guess that even in the music business, if you work hard enough, you kinda make some of your own luck! In my field, I have had many who wanted to know how I did it and I tell them, but none ever do it as they say that is too much work. I find most people do not want to put in the hours, in any field, that will push them to success. I like your statement about dedication if you haven't noticed!
