Howdy gang!

We had lots of wind last night. It was nothing major though.

Lately there has been a stream of yellow small automobiles appear here on the forum. I came across the yellow VW pictured above while at yard sales this past weekend. So, I thought I'd share it with you all.

Happy Monday folks. Tomorrow is your final day to get your taxes over to Ralph. I hear he has nothing planned for the evening so if you get there around dinner time he'll still be there. Bring him a snack though.

Later.

Good Morning,

Don't forget my little yellow car, the "mobile spray booth". It's a hybrid and gets a true 45 mph. I'm literally saving $500 each month in gas alone. I drive all day for work, so it's perfect.

Haven't posted much in awhile due to a hectic series of work, visitors, social events, etc...but I've been following along. I did manage to spackle a large area to form a parking lot and some roads around the large (for N scale) complex that ReadingBob built. I've got much more to do, but am very interested to surround that baby with some scenery.

Good luck with your taxes. I'm getting a lot back (for the first time in years) and I was concerned that I was going to be paying a lot in. I think I'll pass on my annual double check on the accountant's work.

Hope no one got hurt or worse with the tornadoes, and that all of your houses are still standing. I have a question regarding the build of your houses in the Tornado region, why aren't houses in Kansas, Oklahoma etc. not built in a different way? Would seem to me that brick/concrete houses with perhaps walls at grade would be much better, but I'm probably missing something.

Houses built that way would be too expensive ???

...kinda back to normal now...I have to cover for some vacationers and time off of some at the office most of this week and next...so I will be away from the bench for a bit....I posted some Timonium updates on another thread, so check it out.....one thing that kept me pretty busy at the show was Jimmy....he wanted donuts, he wanted coffee...then the coffee was too hot, you had to get him ice cubes to put in the coffee....they were supposed to be the cube kind, he didn't like crushed ice....GEEZ!!!....he is a lot of work...... 8-| 8-|

....I feel for Ralph, I have some friends in the same business, and they are absolutely off limits during tax time....I sure hope that profession gets big bucks....it sure seems stressful.....

Jeff (actually Jimmy is no trouble at all....he is an inspiration....)

Morning all,
Very warm here today, high is forecast to be 88! No yellow car sitings so far, but I haven't left the house yet.
This is the baseball from the ninth inning, Tampa Bay home run, on Friday opening day at Fenway.
My grandson was easy to pick out in the video, a 6 foot 20 year old, jumping up and down with the ball!
He was some excited...

Here are a few shots of the engine house update I did last weekend, Dave Frary had built this Model Hobbies kit for a review in MRC back in the early 70's, he gave it to me back then and it has been collecting dust since I removed it from the old Scenic Valley RR layout about 15 years ago.
I have replaced the doors and windows with new laser cut ones, and weathered the heck out of it. The plan, is to use it as a remote backwoods engine facility on the future layout.

Hal- What a transformation! Great job.
Here is a small (12"x12") mining diorama by my friend Eduardo Romo- very well detailed and the scene is attention getting.
Eduardo was inspired by and trained by all the clinicians of the CSS07 and CSS08 shows. Jimmy, Doug, Dave may remember him as one of the "Minnesota mafia". Ed says he is bringing the little diorama and more to the EXpo.
How about those Twins?! Two and seven!

Morning, all.
Good to see some of the old Beetles still plying the streets. Nice job on the engine house, Hal. Shouldn't your grandson have thrown the ball back as it was hit by the other team? :D Nice dio by Eduardo as well. I'm off to get a haircut and then work the "middle shift" today.
Happy Start O' the Week Day!
