Looking great, Cuzz! :-bd :-bd
Amazing what effect a little paint adds.

Mixed paint as per our own Tom and an article from John Olson in Model railroad craftsman, Aug 1976.

No problem, always liked it because you could scrub it off if you really messed up before it dries.

Needed to insulate the split frame motor from the brass shell. I used a piece of pink :o file card on one side. Works fine, next attaching couplers.

I have been running this little puppy back and forth on the modules, I like it :D :D This is going to runn slow when complete. Also needed to shave one side of the plastic frame that surrounds the motor, did not fit with enough freedom to allow removal for maintenance.

Used a razor and took off a little at a time.

Well I guess it's time to add decals. They were old and difficult to get transfered off the carrier sheet. Ended with three small pieces but not as noticeable as I thought. I think from two feet it should pass muster. When placed in position on the backing that looked good at this height but once on, I think they could have gone lower on the hood.

Had the couplers attached but did not like the way they hung. Oh well, more problem solving. Hopefully it will not take almost a year for the next update. [-x
