Yes and yes.

I have used some powdered paint pigments to tint the Hydrocal brown so that there would be no "white" spots showing. It did not seem to affect the drying time at all.

I do the same Jim does, dyes, also to color sand and alcohol for washes.

Never fear, I'm still working on Wanda's. I lost a few weekends with company and the lawn mower issue. The rain today allowed me to work on the diorama for it without feeling guilty. This is not my first kit build, but it IS my first diorama, believe it or not, so I'm taking my time and having a lot of trouble making decisions on what to do and what to use. My head hurts... b-( Hopefully there will be pictures later this week.

Ok, it's done:

PLEASE tell me what you like and what needs improvement. This really is my first diorama.

Randy,
That's a real nice dio. I looked really hard to find something to criticize and if I was water boarded to say anything I guess it would be the grass and short shrubs.
It really doesn't look bad but the stand up stuff the guys are putting down with those electronic Grassmasters is really good.
Not sure if I'd bother changing it though until I saw it in person.

It's unrealistic that the dog on the porch would just lay there while those men were hammering and disturbing his rest... =))

Awesome job Ranny! I really like it and kind find nothing wrong. Much better than what I could do! :-bd :ymapplause:

Way to go Ranny, nice build. If I would have to say something I would mention the chimney being a bit to clean especially on top, and I would give the little people a light AI wash to give them some more shadows.
