O.H. Wright & Co build

Thanks Jim! Here's a couple of more.

Well they aren't really pics of an update, but I wanted to show you these windows. I hadn't looked at them until today. I had just assumed they would be the standard Grandt Line or Tichy windows. There are 4 Grandt Line windows, but the bulk of them are ME's. I don't think I've ever heard of these. They come 4 to a sprue and 2 on each sprue are modeled open!

Guess what I think I'll put in there?

Ok I decided to do a bit more tonight. I went ahead and made one of the wood doors and access doors.

Tichy now has partially opened windows and some window sets with one window separate so you can adjust how open it is (or glue it closed.)

I would show you what I'm doing now but no one would enjoy the pictures of me sanding 23 doors and windows...

 As do I. But I'm more interested in what everyone thinks of how I'm doing on the build as I go than my sanding technique... =))

I think the build is going great! :-bd :-bd

But, in addition, I'm glad to have some company in posting later at night.
I never was amd still aren't an early morning person! :ymdevil: :ymdevil:

Jaime and Tom were lucky to have me meet them before noon, but some things
are important and take priority. Meeting them was worth the exception! :D :D

They are 'GOOD FOLKS'!!! :-bd :-bd

Keep the great build going - I'll still be watching when you finish sanding the doors and windows!
That's a bunch of doors and windows to clean up! :)) :)) :))

Thanks Gnat! Yeah I still have 10 left to go. I'll get them done tomorrow so I can prime them and then paint them tomorrow evening. I finished the other wooden door and access door about an hour ago. I think the roof is up next. After that it says to take a building break and prepare the castings. My least favorite thing to do. :( I still have about 4 or 5 models without chimineys or other odd things because I hate preparing and painting castings. Probably one reason I have yet to try a FSM kit...

I took some time to watch some Netflix with my son today and I decided to finish sanding the windows and doors while I was at it. I also decided to go ahead and get the castings out of the way too, so I sanded them. After he decided he was going to go to his room and play, I took everything down to the basement and primed it. I used the cheap Walmart stuff as always. Grey for the windows and barrel and white for the chimney, sacks, broom, and pallet.

I also just burned a mix of 20 Lucero (alt-country band, not the Spanish one I can't understand... :D ) to a cd so I have something to listen to at the workbench since the radio wouldn't pick up the game the other night.

Now, off to paint windows after I walk the doggie!

Wanting to get opinions on how this looks. I seem to never be able to do as good on plastic as wood. I'm not an air brush guy so I stick to the rattle cans and brushes. These were done with a brush in sort of a dry brush way. I'm not sure I like them that much when compared to the walls and the doors I had to make. Let me know what you think.

Not the best pictures, but as good as I could do with my phone. I may try to just lightly spray the others with a white and then go back and hit them with a sponge in places.
