This is the new addition to the New Harbor module. A block of shops. Getting close to the addition of water, can't wait.

New Harbor has a covered water tank. Used plastic sheet, plastic window castings, scratch built door and spout. Campbell shingles with homemade stack.

Alas, still no water in the harbor.

The free video Dave has so thoughtfully produced was enough to get my creative juices flowing. After watching it and digging out his 1982 edition book of scenery I started to scenic the west end of the Jordan Pond modules. This needed to have some progress so the water can be added here and on the New Harbor module. This area will be know as Jordan crossing. There is a country store, railroad related buildings and soon a fenced in field with sheep.

Picture was taken with an Android, three exposures and adjusted using Photomatrix Essentials. I love free programs. Still more layers to be added but progress is being made.

With cool temperatures the doors and windows can be open wide for some good drying weather. Before I get too far along with adding scenic buildings and details I needed to make the sky and rolling hills and forests for my two foot gauge point to point rr. I'm following Daves book for mixing colors. Biggest problem so far has been taking items off the modules with trees and bushes so the background sky and tree covered hills can be painted.

Now to mix some gray-green for the distant hills.

Thanks John
You're welcome here anytime. Haven't had a visitor in a while. This coming weekend we are taking the bug to Dade City for the bug jam, but after that we are here until Turkey day. Will send you my info. Thanks for the interest.

After a false start with the background, I am trying different colors for the near hills and close trees. At least mixing colors is getting easier. Between painting, drying and remixing I use the time to add layers to the ground and roads. I know you love pictures so here is -- a picture.
