You sir, are a credit to the hobby.

Rather than put things up on ebay... give them to someone who might actually appreciate them.

We have a rule among modelers here in Boise:

If I have it under the bench and not needing it....... and you do........ it's yours.

Actually, I'm a 'mam ;;) thanks for the kind words.

I know I can always use a Jordan car here or there but I think I have some stuff laying around too.

Maybe we should have a spring clean up and pass along some stuff we're pretty sure we aren't going to get to.

Seriously - When you say you can't see those tiny things I hope it's not because of something serious.

No, just age and cataracts. I'll be 65 this spring. I was building some baggage wagons and park benches this past weekend and was very frustrated. I had to take out my contacts, use my close up glasses AND clip on the magnifiers!

I sold some items for making the little goose-neck LEDs to a fellow out west. He contacted me before the holidays wanting me to make the lights up for him since he couldn't see that well and was having cataract surgery later this year. He wanted some lights right away though. His eyes should be pretty good after the surgery. Maybe you want to hold on to some of that teeny stuff?

I'll be 54 in September. I always have a pair of 3X readers dangling from my neck (I could get by with a little less for reading but I'm "into" detail) and when I work on LEDs I flip the hi power magnivsor OVER my readers.

I better eat more carrots or something.

I'm 51 , don't need readers for reading, but I sure need them for N-scale stuff, I had my optician friend make me a pair of 2.5 readers using a sunglass frame, I kept looking over the small readers, can't over these. I asked him if he had those snooker/pool glasses, and then he came up with thye idea of the sunglasses frame.

Nah, since I don't have space for a layout, if I need something like I'm giving away, this place is so nice, someone would probably offer to build a one-off for me. ;;) ;;) ;;)

I edited Bob's post just a little, but agree with everything he said. This hobby's all about sharing, whether it be ideas and tips, or leftover or dupilcate kits.
It reminded me of some extra Jordan Highway Miniatures I had on the shelf, so I e-mailed Jaime and just got the package ready to go to him.
I hope he goes blind building them, I know I would!
Sorry, Slim, you got your two vehicles!!

Thanks again for reminding us what this hobby is all about! :ymapplause: :ymapplause: :-bd :-bd
And I realized that we're not that different - I'll be 65 in April of this year, but I got smart and retired at 62! :)) :)) :))
Love them SS checks for sitting on my butt! =)) =))

Like Bob said.
Which reminds me, how is the diner coming along Candy. I know you have been busy lately and will get to it in time.
Actually I just gave an "O" scale Campbels corrugated wharehouse to a friend today.
And thanks again to Brian (BEST) for the ghost town contest.

I have been giving things away for years. I am at the poing that I realize some things bought years ago won't fit where I have come in the hobby.
I have also bought things to replace, upgrade items I thought I would use.

If you see something on my shelves I have decided not to use it"s yours.
(So you can see why I don't post photos of my shelves, :D :D
