Nice looking bridge, John. I prefer pink styrofoam and plywood water, though. :D

Great stuff John, did you build the trestle just like that or do you have some kind of drawing or plan for it? I ask because I need something like that for the approach to Manhattan Kansas .

Thanks. I got the concrete footings from King Dave a few CSS's ago. I think he threw them in when I bought a video or two. I cut an Atlas steel girder bridge to fit and connected it with a bit of Central Valley Bridge Girder (HO). I built the wooden bents in place with no plan whatsoever. Just a chopper, a glass of wine, a Micro-Mark magnetic assembly tray (to keep things somewhat consistent) and a dream. I'm sure it would make an N scale engineer cringe, but I don't ever allow them in.

Got the pilings down to raise the dock up. Still have to work out some wooden crossbeams and addtl. details. I have some nice Seaport Model Works cleats, etc. I have been sitting on.

I did some work last night and this morning on Weatherbea's Wharf, which is a Model Tech Studios kit. The building itself is basically a one piece casting with a bunch of details to be added including window frames, awnings, chimneys, signage and details for the dock. After priming and painting, it looks surprisingly good. The building is a solid block, so cleaning out window frames and doorway detail is pretty tough - you really have to "dig in" and, particularly in N scale, that's a tough thing to do while attempting to maintain fine lines. Anyway, I didn't always maintain fine lines, but I'm pleased with the overall effect. There are quite a few more details to add include some very delicate looking door lamps, oars, life preservers, and stacks of crates. I just posed it with some detail parts I had laying around. After looking at these photos, I realized I was heavy-handed with the rust streak. I have since fixed that with a swipe of the thumb. For those following along at home, you will notice I have extended the Mod Podge water throughout the harbor and removed Reading Bob's Burlington Marble so I can start to "landscape the are behind the wharf.

The water scene is coming along nicely John. I like what you have done to date. How is it working with the ModPodge? That is my next step but I've been putting it off. The new building looks great and I had to remind myself it was N scale. Well done.
