Is there a glue that will work for Latex molds?

Is there a glue that will work for Latex molds?

Has anyone had any luck finding a glue that will work with latex molds. I have some molds with small tears that I would like to fix before they become useless? Most of my molds were made with the "One-to-One / Rapid" from Micromark.

Nothing really sticks well to silicone or latex. That's why it works so well for molds. You might be able to extend the life of the mold a little bit with some tube silicone. Maybe some Gorilla tape or Duct tape over top to try and add some strength.

Best thing is more latex. Cover the torn area with a few coats of new liquid latex, embed a bit of gauze cloth in it and apply a couple more layers to hold it all together. Should work like a charm. Make sure the original mold is really clean before you start.

I would hink more of the same material you made the mold with. Yes silicone products won't stick to stuff but it sure sticks to itself. Thats why we need the release agent for two piece molds. BILL
