Heads-Up Burt Lancaster Train Film

Postby mecrr » Sat Feb 18, 2012 4:39 pm

TCM (Turner Classic Movies) is showing Burt Lancaster War/Steam train movie film at 8 PM PST (5 EST?).
This one gets a lot of stars for a train/war movie.
Sounds like a winner!

I remember seeing this at the Drive-In as a kid. (And another memory from the 60s, Monday's the 50th anniversary of John Glenn's trip into space. My 1st grade teacher marched her entire class 2 blocks to her house, where we watched him land on her TV.)

Heads-Up Burt Lancaster Train Film

Postby slimjerkins » Sun Feb 19, 2012 7:09 am

There's a film on YouTube about the making of "The Train." It's all in French but still interesting to watch.

Back in those days the blew things up the good old fashioned way - by actually blowing them up. No modern CG stuff.
