I'm with Jamie on the gibberish graffiti. I don't get it. I will admit it is colorful and more exciting than the simple graffiti of the 70s.

I'm also tracking on sitting around waiting for trains to go by. I do understand snapping photos. Great for the weathering techniques.

The beauty for the railfans is trains are easy to track!!!! Kinda like deer through the snow. Seriously, there are several railfans in the club I belong to. They carry lap tops and tap into railroad programs that show where trains are currently operating (okay...the program is installed on their computer...they just need internet access). Seems like this would be cheating...similar to using sonar for fishing. I think this practice takes the "sport "out of railfanning.

Easy answer to this - just pick a time when you really need to go somewhere to get a part or something - Never Fails, a train will block your path
