Make sure it just isn't the flexy hose (looks a radiator hose) that runs from the drum to the pump. It's a cheap DIY fix but considering the thing is 17 years old...

Slim,

Thanks for the suggestion. I gave some thought to fixing it myself, but it's about shot anyway. We have well water, and the water flow from the pump is just about down to a trickle. I was glad to get 17 years out it.

Thank you all for the birthday wishes, spent the day at my folks home, always do that so they don't have to drive. I hate driving , but it's not to bad in my new-old car, a Renault Twingo,

Never had a luxurious car like this before, electric windows and airconditioning and about 40 miles to the gallon.
Yes go ahead have a laugh =)) =)) =)) , I'm 6 foot 3 and still enough room .

I used to drive a Renault LeCar. A 4 door and semi convertable none the less. It was a fun little car. I used to play ice hockey and was able to stuff two goaltenders and all our gear in that little car. b-(

Jim - I picked up a Canon PowerShot A3400IS last week. I'm taking pictures with it but haven't figure out all the bells and whistles.

Jan

French cars got a bad rap here in the US during the 70's.. Renault was systematically trying to put itself out of business and Citroen was helping. Peugeot was the only remaining serious French maker.

Yes Peugeot had their own ideas on where stuff should be.......... turn signal on the right side of the wheel...... pull it for the horn.......... But I drove a Diesel 504 for over 10 years and had very comfortable, dependable service out of it. The fact that I worked for the local dealer might have had something to do with it but in 1984 they too shut it down.

There are a lot of manufacturers and even more models that we never see in this country.

see ya

The only Peugeot I ever rode was a bicycle.
