Ralph,
I like what you're doing show us more.
When you put it back together do you plan on installing DCC?

I did a lot of this a while back and installed a Quantum Revolution U with dual speakers. When I reinstalled the motor I bypassed the motor mounts an placed it on a bed of silicone, which lowered the motor and aligned the drive a little better. As a result of the lowering it made more room for the decoder & speakers. I can send along a picture if your interested.

Ralph,

I just brought this up to a local RPM meet to show progress.

All my loco's are equipped with DCC. I am just putting in regular decoders in right now due the cost of sound units. I have an expensive signalling project ongoing that demands all the dollars I can throw at it.

Thanks for the props.

Ralph, I just read the whole thread, great stuff. This is an area of modelling that I am interested in getting in to, so this thread is perfect. I would love to see some shots of current progress if possible?

Simon, no current progress. Some time this summer look for more progress. I need to finish the custom painting and decalling and weathering of Huebers D&H C-628 first.

I'll look forward to it. One aspect I am especially interested in, is how you handle number boards on the good old Blue Box.
