HOn30 - Roll On

There is still activity in the HOn30 area of HO narrow gauge. Here is a little critter bashed from a kit and lettered for the Black Fly Lumber.

Very nice! I'm a fan of the little box cab. What kit did you start with?

Agreed - this is a neat little kitbash. :ymapplause: Who's drive mechanism? Is the "Box Cab" an early diesel engine, or small steam-type? I am unfamiliar with this type of loco...

Brett,

It doesn't have a sound system in it.

The drive mech is a Bachmann n-scale engine modified for automatic couplers and the shell. I can't remember the name of the company but think it was Malcovia but could be wrong. I think I heard the man who produced the kit went back to school and is no longer making it. I filled one side window in with louvers and added the details. Black Fly Lumber decals were made by a friend on an aps printer years ago. The front stripes are from a set of commercial decals. Yes it does not have sound although it is very noisy. The shell fits tight over the runnng gear. Pulls about five cars on my home modules.

Thought that was a home brew like I did with a damaged critter from MDC.
