Nice work Robert. Did you paint the backdrop yourself? To me, it looks like the Clove Valley area of Dutchess County.

Long Horn, Jeff John & Kevin,

Thanks for the kind words.

Kevin,
The clouds are air brushed & the lower part of Instant Horizion back drops w/ sky cut off.
You are close w/ area I live in Pouqhquag NY and model a fictious extension of the D& H into Hudson Valley
If you in the area drop by to see layout.

Hello Robert

The layout look great. How about some more photos of the waterfront. And while you're at it, how about a tutorial on how you created your water. The water looks awesone from the first photo.

Tom,
Thanks for input,
Water is Dave Fray's Method
1. Paint surface w/ Ceramacoat Color Black/Green
2. Second Coat of Black/Green,
3. while second coat is still wet Stipple Paint in Artist Acrylics Ceruleam Blue.
4. After you are satisfied w/ color let dry
5. Use Modge Podge( AC Moore) or Acrylic Matt Medium for water surface. ( I use Modge Podge)
6. Apply thin layers no more than 1/8' to avoid air bubblues

That is it
Good Luck
