Didn't sleep well last night so I'm still tired. Thank goodness it's hump day.

Because it is named for the Anglo Saxon king of the Gods, Woden, who had he been called Wen would have resulted in your preferred spelling. So if anything it should really be spelled Wodensday, but somehow evolved into what we have today. Woden's son Thor has his day tomorrow.

Monring all,

Happy to see everyone all chipper this morning. My plans are to spend several hours in the man cave cleaning up and modeling.

JMancuso, a Saturday Butty Group Member, is stopping by to return the Howard Zane book and to get a pass to my DVD library. Should be a fun visit.

Well, off to the cave! Have a great day!

I had this photo of the Gloucester waterfront taken in 1902. It's a big photo and shows dozens of structures but the building in the middle right of the top photo caught my eye because of the cut-out side. My much smaller HO version is in the bottom photo. It will have gray trim and a shingled roof. The building is made from a random board material made by Northeast Scale Lumber.

It's been pouring rain here all week, so far, and our poor president is stuck in Martha's Vineyard with his wife and kids. He must be ready to do something, anything, like golf in the rain. He can't even kill the afternoon in a bar room watching sports re-runs. Too bad.

Time to get moving...

Dave F.,

Your modeling continues to amaze me. I hope you plan to post a few pictures of the build or at least a finished photo. ^:)^ ^:)^

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make a hole in a foundation cast out of hydrocal without ruining it? (I hope Randy or Jeff are reading this). I'm working on a small kit and I may want to put a light in it as it's the type of business that would tend to stay open late in the evening. :D

Bob,
Use a small drill by hand. Just turn it with your fingers and you'll get through. Depending on the size of the hole needed, you can start small and ream it out with a larger drill. Just don't use any power tools as they might catch and tear the wall apart.

Did someone mention MR?

My friend says that the newstand price for MR had begun to vary on some months. If there is lots of content they charge more. Not as much content and they charge less. Is my friend pulling my leg?

I still have a subscription so I pay no attention to the newstand price.
