Brownstone Firehouse

Postby wagon21 » Wed Feb 02, 2011 5:21 pm

Greetings Gentlemen:
Yes im the new guy here, and I need your help.
I have been looking for this 1 particular building kit for my layout and have not been able to find it.
To make matters worse I dont remember the name of the company that produced it,but what I can tell you
is that it is 1/87th scale,a New York style brownstone firehouse.
Ok put your thinking caps on and HELP me if you can. This would greatly be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

A couple of options:

This, by Woodland Scenics, is also available in kit form by DPM:

This, from the old Magnuson Models Victoria Falls series, now by SS Ltd.:

The Walthers Fire Station:

That's what I can think of off the top of my head. Welcome aboard.

The Walthers Fire Company number 4; not a kit, but still the style you're looking for.:

The aforementioned DPM kit:

Having been a firefighter, I sort of have a soft spot for firehouses. I've bought all of them. I have yet to build the SS Ltd. and DPM kits. ~x(

Both???? I listed 5.

If it's resin, then that narrows it down, it's the Victoria Falls Firehouse. Only one that's resin.

I like your kits...are they made from laser cut wood or a different material.

Colleen:

All of the kits are plastic except for the Scale Structures Ltd. kit, which is resin.
