Was wandering around Lowes today and found these with the roofing materials .. can't beat FREE. Figure they can be used for SOMETHING ..

There were other colors but these looked the most like you could use them somewhere ..

My thought would be to try scraping the granules off - looks like it would make great talus.
Or maybe just chop it up and glue it down in areas of talus build-up - a little a alcohol/India Ink or alcohol/shoe dye, followed
by a a little dirt over it would look natural.

Good find - reminds us to never overlook anything!

They work great for gravel roads in larger scales but for most scales, nadda.

I'm at local Lowes looking for these samples. All I can find are these:

The two in the photo I posted are "Weathered Wood" and "Silver Birch"
