Thanks for the replies Eric, Greg, David, Jim, Dave and Jeff! :D

Yes, the detail castings are still a work in progress. A&I, oil washes and some chalks will be applied to varying degrees along with some drybrushing to highlight the details. :D

Yep, figure out a way to fix or cover it up when you screw up and you've got it made. :))

Bob,

I've been lurking but not posting on your build. Beautiful job as usual Butty! Can't wait ot see it in person. I'll be sending an email with a couple of SBGM dates later this week.

I really like the color of the two structures. Okay, I'll leave you alone and let you finish the castings. :)) B-)

Thanks Karl! Appreciate it. I've gone back and forth on this one. I liked it when I started. Then I didn't for a short spell. Now that it's coming together I like it again. Go figure. :D

Thanks Tom! Looking forward to getting together and delivering this one. I'll at least have the structure ready if not all the spare castings that go along with the entire kit. You may have to try putting this one in several locations until you find a home for it. It's odd that it has two 'fronts'. :D

Thanks Jeff! I really appreciate the feedback. The only thing I did that was different than what the instructions called for, with regards to the colors, was keeping the little wooden structure on the side of the brick building in the same color scheme as the main wood structure. In the instructions Bob Van Gelder mentioned that he thought it was too much of the same and recommended painting the doors and windows (I believe, I don't have them here in front of me) on that small extension blue to break it up a bit.

Any photos of Cambridge Crossing on Tom's layout?

'Cause we love photos.

Jaime,

I do have them on the layout but no photos as yet! I don't have any scenery in that area yet either. I'm thinking about changing the location of the station so I've been slow to lock it in!
