OK, the ever faithful mailman brought me Jimmy's newest release from the Ed Fulazs arsenal...at this point I think he is just calling it EF01....(pretty original from our fearless leader)...I would think Grove's Garments, Tom's Tools, Jaime's Junque, ReadingBob's Radiators, David's Depot, and the list goes on... Here are some pics of how it's supposed to come out.....(please excuse these pics, I had to loan out my better camera)....

...and then here is the required pic of all the parts and pieces. Alot of cast pieces to this structure, BE CAREFUL unwrapping because they are very well done, which makes them all the more fragile. I don't know how Ed (and Jimmy) does such a nice job on his brick/stone etc. and gets such a clean casting...and the other picture of couse shows the rest of the pieces, windows, roofing material etc. I will begin the build on this one now....and maybe some pics will follow yet tonight...as always....suggestions, comments etc. are always welcome....

...now to work on the walls, truing them up, making sure you get as tight a fit as possible....I have had great success using economical sanding blocks for this...you can also use a file, x-acto knife, and I have even used the 1" belt sander (available about anywhere, but Northern Tools will put them on sale sometimes for $29.99)....you don't need a high quality sander, you won't work it too hard....

...now I have most of the wall sections cleaned up and starting to glue them up. I will use Aileen's Tacky Glue with dabs of Super Glue (not the gel type) added to the joints, and have found this to be as good a bond (the Tacky Glue will ooze to the front so you can help to close any imperfections) while giving you time to work it, and the Super Glue will just bond it tight. I have been doing this for years with great results....also you will see the braces applied to the backs and after glueing, I weight it all down with granite samples.....

...and back to the building a bit...notice that I have added some additional bracing on the top edge of the walls, (Jimmy provides plenty of bracing)...you will see why I did this when it comes to the roof assembly....then I have shown a pic of the assembled walls, be sure to keep them flat until they are completely dry. Large cast structures can have a tendancy to move and warp a bit, so weight them down during these steps....

...now to assemble the walls, being sure that everything is square....to make this a simple task, I use squares everywhere, and even utilize the matt board. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!!, if it is not square, you will have problems getting a quality finished product.....
